We view yoga as a set of practices and values to live by that are conducive to physical and emotional development.
Yoga gives discipline and structure to the mind and body for harmony and health.
It helps to balance polarities - right/left, active/restorative, strength/flexibility - and to improve circulation of energy, fluids and oxygen in the body.
It improves overall health when done in the right mindset - non competitive - and with sensitivity, listening to the body's feedback and its limits, listening to the breath and letting it be a guide to adjust the intensity of the practice.
Furthermore, the tradition and means of knowledge at the basis of the practice are a source of self-knowledge that can lead to relaxation in the mind and more self-acceptance.
